Heroes of Arkesia,
There has been a surge of conversations within our community following the latest roadmap announcements, especially concerning the timing of balance patches. We fully understand the disappointment that arises when the schedule for updates doesn’t match players' expectations. Additionally, seeing different timelines announced for other regions can lead to confusion about why Western players have yet to receive particular updates. In light of this, we want to shed some light on the situation and explain how we are tackling these challenges.
Understanding the Balance Patch Schedule
After the recent updates to our roadmap, many players realized that the Western version will not be rolling out balance patches in December, with the release now slated for February. We recognize that this has sparked frustration and concern, and we feel it’s essential to provide more context regarding our initial plans.
It's crucial to highlight that the CN version of Lost Ark, which has often been used as a benchmark by our players, currently lacks the Ark Grid system. This absence has made it easier for them to integrate upcoming balance changes into their game faster. On the other hand, our December schedule for the Western version was already packed with significant updates, including the Elixir/Transcendence Removal, Solo Kazeros Act 2 & 3, seasonal content, and various year-end activities. These factors created technical and scheduling hurdles that necessitated postponing the balance patch integration until February in our original planning.
However, we want you to know that we've heard your concerns loud and clear. We took your feedback directly to Smilegate RPG and collaborated closely to find a way to expedite this timeline. Consequently, we are pleased to announce that we will be implementing the balance patch sooner than expected.
Accelerated Release of Balance Patches
In response to your valuable feedback, we will now include both Korea's October and December balance patches in our January update. While this may not be an immediate fix, we are committed to speeding up the release process to ensure that Western players receive these vital balance changes much earlier than originally planned. We recognize how important balance patches are for keeping classes engaging and competitive, and we truly appreciate the community's dedication to pushing for timely updates. Your input has been instrumental in shaping this decision, and we remain devoted to listening and adapting whenever possible.
Looking Ahead
As we approach the January update, we will provide comprehensive details regarding the balance changes in the release notes. Moreover, we want to reassure you that we are actively collaborating with Smilegate RPG to refine our processes, making it easier to deliver Korea's balance patches to the West in a more timely manner. This experience has underscored the significance of prompt balance updates, and we are determined to prioritize this as we advance into 2026. In the meantime, we sincerely appreciate your patience and ongoing feedback as we strive to enhance the Lost Ark experience for players in all regions.
Thank you for your unwavering support and enthusiasm for Lost Ark. We look forward to seeing you in Arkesia!
