Hollywood actor Luke Evans, known for his roles in 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show', has been spotted filming an upcoming ITV drama, 'The Party', across south Wales. The five-episode series, based on the book of the same name by Elizabeth Day, will explore themes of loyalty, class, and hidden truths. Evans plays journalist Martin Gilmour, who becomes entangled in a political thriller centered around the birthday party of politician Ben Fitzmaurice, played by Tom Cullen. The show also delves into the relationship between Gilmour and Fitzmaurice, who first met as students at a private school. Filming has taken place in various locations, including Cardiff's Roath Park, a bar on Mill Lane, and Llanharan House, a Grade II-listed Georgian mansion in Rhondda Cynon Taf. Evans, who is also an executive producer, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating that it 'had the makings of something truly special for television'. The cast also includes Joanna Scanlon, Sarah Solemani, and Douglas Hodge. While the release date remains undisclosed, fans are eagerly awaiting the show's premiere on ITV and ITVX.
